How do I print to the main office?

General Information



The printer/copier/scanners are located in the ME Main Office Mailroom (088-2181).
Both are the following make and model: HP PageWide Managed Color MFP E77650.

Access



If you are with the Department of Mechanical Engineering you should automatically have access to the printer. Simply slide your card through the scanner attached to the left hand side of the printer to log in. If it is the first time you are using the printer you may have to input your Directory ID and Password using the built-in pullout keyboard.

The system will sign you out automatically within 30 seconds, but to be safe you may want to manually sign out by tapping Sign Out on the home screen.

Installation



Windows



For users with PCs that are not joined to the Campus Active Directory you will need to use the installer below. For those with PCs that are joined to the Campus Active Directory (you use your Directory ID and Password to log into the computer) the application and printer should already be installed – if it isn’t please make sure your computer is updated to the latest version of Windows 10/11 and you have restarted the computer before contacting IT Support.

Download and run Mobility Print

If you are off campus, be sure that you are connected to the campus VPN before continuing.

Now we'll connect you to the print server to get your printers:

If you want to customize your print jobs with options such as staple, hole punch, collate, and two-sided print, you can do so in the print dialog. Finally, when submitting a print job you may need to input your Directory ID and Password to authenticate.

macOS



Install Mobility Print and come back here:
Download and run Mobility Print

When presented with a system authorization dialog you may select Don't Allow, if preferred.
If you are off campus, be sure that you are connected to the campus VPN before continuing.

Now we'll connect you to the print server to get your printers:

When the browser message appears, click Open mobility-print-client

Releasing Print Jobs



Once you have swiped your card and signed in you should see the home screen. Tap the Print Release button to view your submitted print jobs. You can tap each one individually and then tap Print to release the selected print jobs or you can tap Print All to release all the print jobs in your queue. You have to option to print them double-sided and/or in greyscale instead of color, before releasing them.

In order to conserve resources on the server, print jobs are automatically deleted if you don’t release them within two hours.
