How do I install Microsoft Office?
If you currently have an older version of Office installed you will need to uninstall it before continuing (see the information box below).
Please follow these simple steps to install the latest version of Microsoft Office:
Go to https://portal.office.com/Home
Enter your @umd.edu email address
Select Work or school account
Login via CAS if prompted
Select Yes if prompted to stay signed in
In the upper right of the page click on Install Office
Select Office 365 apps
Follow the provided installation instructions from Microsoft
To uninstall Office download and install this uninstaller, be sure to select Run at all prompts. Your computer will restart when complete. After your computer restarts please select Run when prompted, and close the app after it reappears.
